After digging through the web for events to add to our monthly concert calendar (which is now up-to-date, by the way), I found that September is, unfortunately, a bit weak on the live music side of things. However, there is one diamond in the rough: German techno masters Modeselektor at the El Rey Theatre on Thursday, September 23rd. These guys are at the top of their game, and this show is not to be missed. Tickets just went on sale about 30 minutes ago and can be bought here. This one looks like a sell-out, so don’t procrastinate! A new album from the boys is not yet on the horizon, but they do have a forthcoming mixtape coming out in November entitled Modeselektion Vol. 1. Go ahead and mark your calendars.
