As Rob and I continue our recovery from Coachella and find the energy to write our reviews, I’d like to let everyone know that EDC tickets are already on sale! The date of this post/ticket release is a mere coincidence I’m sure…
As far as the line-up, not much has been announced so far. They were giving out flyers at Coachella that gave us a little hint – Moby and Deadmau5 on Friday, Armin van Buuren and Groove Armada Saturday. Also confirmed via myspace are Above and Beyond, Jack Beats, Axwell and Swedish House Mafia.
Besides that, not much is known about the line-up so far. There are, of course, leaked versions, but no one can confirm those. Just for fun, though, others rumored include ATB, Kaskade, Afrojack and Laidback Luke. By the way, if you search EDC 2010 lineup, a bunch of fake trojan websites pop up. I don’t know if this is Insomniac’s work, but I warn everybody to be careful.
Long story short, it’s lookin to be another epic 2 days over at the Coliseum, so get your tickets now. One thing that seems to be different is that you have to be 16 or over, or with a parent or guardian, to get onto the Coliseum floor. Looks like Insomniac has finally noticed the fact that you could get trampled down there and are starting some sort of enforcement. However I am more surprised by the fact that people under 16 are even allowed to go to events like this. To be honest, I wish they were 18 and over because a lot of irresponsible young people come out and do irresponsible things and it’s sometimes a pain to watch. But hey, hopefully they learn from their mistakes.
All right Los Angeles, Coachella is over and it’s time to get ready for summer. Here we go!
