Mixxx Madness

Thought I’d punctuate the work week with a few extremely top drawer mixes I’ve been enjoying lately.

This should complement the wonderful warm weather rather well. Scottish producer/DJ Mylo crafted one of the finest dance albums of the millennium in “Destroy Rock & Roll” way back in 2004. Six years later, Mylo is finally back on the circuit with a few new tracks, a forthcoming album, and a phenomenal new mix for Mixmag magazine. The mix contains a great selection of quality house/nu-disco tracks, as well as Mylo’s most recent production, entitled “Wings of Fire”.

Is anybody better than Modeselektor right now? My two favorite dudes from Berlin are putting out some of the dopest music these days. Hard at work on their new album (keep an eye out for this one…it will be earth shattering), Modeselektor was kind enough to host an hour-long show on Red Bull Music Academy radio. It’s not a continuous blend of music, rather a selection of various techno/dubstep/garage/alternative tracks the duo has been digging lately. Lots of amazing music in this one. I personally can’t wait to get my hands on the unnamed Housemeister track toward the end.
