I’ve had writer’s block lately; luckily Rob is here to pick up the slack with some really good posts.
Blog Updates:
A friend of ours, Asher, is working on a logo for us. He is doing this for free and we are very thankful for his help. If things go right hopefully soon our blog will be somewhat monetized and will be able to reimburse him via tons of free drinks somewhere
.
Since we are getting a new logo, it’s possible that we may get a new layout. Still thinking about this. We will also be starting a Facebook page/campaign so be sure to join up.
Music:
Here are a couple of tracks I’ve really enjoyed in the past couple of weeks. Please download my Best of 2009 Mix if you want to hear a great collection of progressive/tech trance from last year! I just recorded it over a week ago and I’ve been bumping it in my car since. It’s nice to be able to enjoy your own work.
Pulser – Broken Universe – a nice, progressive trance track that Gareth Emery is supporting right now. I love the subtle melody that kicks in about 45 seconds in and I can’t get it out of my head which means the track is good in my book!
Simon Patterson – Miss You – another intense trance track from Simon Patterson, but it’s so good! I can only imagine how bonkers the crowd would go if this was dropped at the peak of a set. At ASOT 400 Simon Patterson was saying how he dug himself into a hole with Bulldozer and Thump and how he is going to drastically change his sound. This isn’t a drastic change my any means but there is a little more tech influence here, and less whacky sound effects. Overall though, Simon is doing what he does best and that’s just how I like it.
Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso – Together – man… that guy sure can ax well… assuming axing means creating awesome tracks. I love Axwell’s productions and this situation is no different – an awesome, bumping house track.
Of course, that’s not all. There are some other huge tracks out right now, and those are going right into my new mix that I’m working on, as always.
Oh and as a final note, needless to say I’m stoked about the Coachella line-up and hope to make this year my first appearance. Hasta luego!
