Dear readers -

Since you (the readers) seem reluctant to comment, we at the Beat Connection have come up with a couple of other ways that you can get involved.

Rob and I are very into the LA dance scene and want it to grow. We created this blog to further the feeling of love and community that we experience at each event. We want to feel connected to other music lovers in the area and share our passion for music and art.

So please get involved if you feel the same way. Here are two new ideas that we have come up with. If you will look at the links at the top of our page you will see two new developments.

1. Submit Tracks or Mixesif you are a local DJ or producer who has stumbled upon our site, please read up about an opportunity to share your music with more people. I’m sure you can always use the extra promotion and credibility as a growing artist. We can always use more awesome music!

2. Guest Posting (use contact form) – If you’re planning on attending an event or just attended one and want to sum up your thoughts in an organized way, this is an excellent release for that passion. If you are interested in doing a guest review of an event, be it a large massive or just a night at Vanguard, we’d love for you to put up a review of it. Other readers can comment on it, and this way we can have a better discussion than the ones on YouTube (ex: “OMG I was there that was siiiiiick can’t wait for next TAO”).

We will ask that you be responsible and don’t turn in a one-paragraph review discussing why trance is dead and DnB is awesome. We welcome all viewpoints (whether you went to a different stage than we would or didn’t like the event) but we don’t welcome hateful emotional write-ups like the ones you might see on RaveLinks.

Want to post a non-review? Contact us with your idea/ideas to see if it fits with our outlook. If it does, we will work with you and post it!

Want to become a contributor? That’s a different story that will involve a phone conversation and probably in-person meeting. We are always looking for more content but we want to make sure it matches our style. Again, use the contact form to let us know you’re interested.

All right guys, that’s the scoop on our new features. Even though you may not want to do this now, as the blog grows I will continue to remind you, the reader, of these opportunities in hopes that we can continue to grow the community here at La Beat Connection.
